As the EdTech sector matures, this US tech enterprise is looking to deliver impact with Classroom Manager

The Edtech market is expected to grow by 16% between this year and 2029, providing a great deal of opportunity for startups.

To date, much of the growth of the EdTech sector has focused on technology that enhance student learning. However, there is also opportunity for companies that prioritize long-term impact and help educators adapt to this new environment.

One EdTech startup from Colorado is leading the pack when it comes to long-term impact. The company, led by CEO Charlie Sander, is a provider of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 cybersecurity, student safety, and compliance for K-12 school districts aiming to address the pressing need for affordable yet powerful IT software products for educators.

Now, the launch of its latest product, Classroom Manager, doubles down further on its commitment to software that delivers long-term impact.

Giving teachers the tools to steer online learning

As Classroom Manager hits the market and becomes available to K-12 educators, how is this software solution delivering impact?

The primary aim of Classroom Manager is to help teachers keep students engaged and focused during class by guiding them to relevant content and redirecting them away from distractions if needed.

This may sound simple at first glance, but the product has been custom-built to address a highly specific challenge seen in the education sector.

According to Sander, Classroom Manager offers a comprehensive suite of features that have been directly mapped to help educators excel at online classroom learning following an extensive period of planning and development.

More specifically, the software solutions aim to address widespread changes seen across the US school system. On the one hand, schools across the country papers and pencils are being replaced by tablets and laptops with students spending between one to four hours on average using tech in the classroom. On the other, 46% of teachers report that student engagement has declined since 2019 as technology pulls focus away from lesson plans.

Classroom Manager can address these plummeting engagement rates by giving teachers seamless yet non-intrusive control over how their students use screens and technology during lessons.

Enhancing learning with technology

Although technology can be a distraction in the classroom, it’s also a highly effective resource that students need to learn how to use in order to conduct research and complete assignments.

Rather than avoiding their use entirely due to the downsides, ManagedMethods’ software solutions mean that educators can not only reduce the risk of distractions, but also enhance their lessons.

For example, Classroom Manager offers an intuitive suite of features that monitor students’ browser activity, provide granular control, and enables personalized learning based on the individual needs of each student. This means that teachers can guide students toward relevant course materials based on their real-time browsing activity. This helps them build key digital skills by learning how to use technology to study.

It also means teachers can navigate students away from non-relevant or inappropriate resources without having to single them out in front of their peers. Additionally, the new admin panel makes it even easier to set up and manage classes, see how many classes are currently active, and share predefined classroom settings with substitute teachers.

A content filter for the classroom

The launch of Classroom Manager also complements the suite of products offered by ManagedMethods.

For example, Classroom Manager integrates with the company’s AI-powered Content Filter, which is designed to help schools comply with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and E-rate requirements. Combined with Cloud Monitor, a cybersecurity solution that provides threat detection and continuous monitoring of your Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, the company has a streamlined yet powerful suite of products focused on driving maximum impact for the education sector.

A solution for educators

ManagedMethods has carved a strong foothold in the Edtech market by catering to the exact requirements of educators in K-12 schools. The launch of Classroom Manager shows a continued commitment to providing technology that addresses real challenges in the classroom with software that can be easily leveraged by teachers across the US.
